Great photos! Very ethereal, very evocative. You have captured the atomospheric effects of the fog perfectly and the sense of isolation of a lone, soul-less, mechanical object in a mown feild.
I think you should have gotten closer. Whatever your reason to take the photos still would have been captured with less distance between you and the object. I like the bottom one better because there is more environment which adds to the composition. The top one, though you tried to isolate the subject it is still too small to carry the whole composition.
Thanks, Bobby's girl. I agree. It wasn't physically possible for me at the time, but maybe I can arrange it in the future. I also wanted the mill turned slightly to get more of the expected windmill silhouette.
