It's very relevant to an internal struggle I'm having right now about trying to follow a John Broz type daily lifting schedule (and failing dismally). I think Jim is essentially right that as you get older you do have to aim lower. But I'm also in agreement with you that late starters can contradict this. However, I'm beginning to wonder if trying to follow a Broz type programme at the age of 48 is really that realistic.
